Music Day

Today was my last Guitar Workshop here at ORO. It is a great group of people and I have enjoyed the opportunity to play with them. They did a few of my favorites today.
Ridin' Down the Canyon, a song recorded by my Father circa 1950 and also by the FishGuts a few years ago.

"You Are My Sunshine", one of my Mom's favorites.

And a very moving rendition of "Amazing Grace" sung from the heart by Tennis whom I've spoken of in previous posts.

I will miss this part of ORO.
I also managed to get copies of 28 songs written and recorded by Harold Morgan (the gentleman in the yellow shirt in the videos). He is an amazing and gifted songwriter!

Hopefully the FishGuts can do a few of his songs when we get back together in April.

We ended the evening with a great visit with our "New Best Friends", Ruth & Doug Waring from Lindsay.
This is Ruth's first book (she has two) that Chris hasn't been able to put down on those rare occasions when we've been at home. Ruth is doing a book tour this summer in the East Coast!
