I was at the Clubhouse today working on my blog and stuff and noticed the Vega Banjos hat that this gentleman was wearing. Meet Willy Shaeff, a talented 4 string banjo player from Michigan. He has a gig coming up on Saturday in Daytona. He is good friends and has played with Walter Ostenak before!! We had a great and interesting conversation about everything and anything 8O)
We met up with Bud and Mardi at their 6 bedroom 4 bathroom home with a pool in Davenport. They taught us how to play Mexican Train. A fun game using Dominoes.
They had never been to Downtown Disney before so we headed down. We started at Disney Marketplace
and then took the ferry over to the West Side. Mike Crissan was playing again at the Back Porch at the House of Blues.
CHEERS!!
We sat through most of his set where he played a number of our requests. He's a great talent if you ever get the chance to see him.
We worked our way back past a number of groups and bands and settled in at Raglan Road for dinner and the dancing and playing of their House Band Creel who also performed a few requests.
They had a new guy playing a cool instrument called a Zendrum!
We left there past Fulton's Crab House.
And finished up with a shot of the romantic couple reminiscing about their South African trip last year.
It was a great night. Bud & Mardi leave this Saturday.
Safe Trip guys. It was fun!
