I've met a lot of people in my life, but one of the best was Doug Gilley, a successful professional bass fisherman, but more than that, a wonderful man. I only had the pleasure of his friendship for a short time before he passed, but I was blessed to know him for the time I did. His wife Carol is a classy lady and Chris and I always enjoyed seeing her.
We went to see her today. I've been looking forward to seeing her again for some time.We had a nice chat at her place.
Bud and Mardi also got to see Doug's incredible trophy room
Many trophies are significant.
One represents the $100,000 MegaBass Tournament that Doug won!
We were entertained by Chester.
We had a great lunch at the the Treetop Restaurant in downtown Sanford.
We dropped Carol off as she had a babysitting engagement and Bud and Mardi took me to the Morse Museum which feature the glass works of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Quite remarkable.
It was wonderful seeing you again Miss Carol.
Another great day!
