New Years at Magic Kingdom

December 31, 2012

Chris and I have spent 3 past New Year's Eve's at Epcot. There is no better way to pay tribute to her than to wade into the Disney gong show on New Year's Eve. We decided to go to Magic kingdom this time because the girls (and Chris) had talked about going to the new Fantasy Land that was just starting construction last year. We had very special T-Shirts to wear for this occasion that we had made up over the last two days at one of the flea markets.

We got up at 6:00 to make it into the park at 8:00 knowing that the park would be closed (at capacity) by 10:00. The park was open till 2:00 am and there was the traditional fireworks at 8:00 and a SPECIAL one at midnight.

We knew it was going to be a Magical Day when we were parked in Row 24!

Nana is now all through the Magic Kingdom.  We all had our special spots where we each did the honour., It's a Small World (Terry), Pirates of the Caribbean (Maddy), different areas around The Castle (Miranda, Mandy and Roger) and Seven Seas Lagoon with a view of the Castle (Roger).

Lots of fun, great rides and shows.  The Fireworks at 8:00 were awesome as usual, but the ones at midnight were beyond any description!!!  Checkout the attached video.  This was at midnight.  Identical Fireworks being launched from all around the Park 360 degrees!  Absolutely Phenomenal!! This is just a portion of it!  The 10 minutes of fireworks leading up to it aren't included.
A fitting tribute to my amazing lady 8O)
Nana was all around us.
