Started the day out with a nice walk around East Village and over to the Lazy River. I'm sure this is the same Egret that I saw in the same place back in January.
Went into Mussels (the gym) at Lazy River and did 20 minutes on the reciprocal thing.
Couldn't find the Lonesome Pine team, but found Chris' spot open, so spent awhile enjoying the view and atmosphere.
Finally caught up with the crew and a few of us took on the slide!
Uncle Buck went first and showed beautiful form to score a 7.6
I followed with my patented "Freight Train" move, but lost control on the final turn to score a very disappointing 5.8.
Don stole the show, exhibiting this exquisite entry, scoring an amazing 9.9.
Almost a perfect score, save for the fact that he curled one toe.
Since Debbie and Norm were in Tampa visiting her sister, we all managed to fit into my van....... sort of.
We rendezvoused with Debbie and Norm at the Alehouse. There was over an hour wait, so we sat by the fireplace in the enclosed patio area and enjoyed a few buckets of beer (5 MGD to a bucket for $8.95!!)
I took the picture above from the "exact" same spot that Chris sat less than a year ago!
Very surreal! She was the perfect picture of health! What happened?? If this isn't a reminder of "Life's Too Short", I don't know what is!! So, get up off your asses and make memories, live life to the fullest, hug those that you love, make peace with yourself and others, tell those that have meaning to you, how you feel about them.
I am so thankful we did...................I'll get off my soapbox now.
Back to my story. ....... Tonight was rib night at the Alehouse, and as usual they were awesome!!
Glad I worked out today :)
We returned back to the Entertainment Unit where I was "Schooled" once more on the nuances of Five Crowns. The only thing that made it bearable was the fine Oak Leaf (WalMart) Pink$h*t at $2.97 a bottle which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!
Good Night.
