Today was a wonderful day!
Bud had raved about how cool Legoland was for kids, so we decided to check it out. We got up early and left at 8:30 to be at Legoland in Winterhaven for their opening at 9:30 am.
We immediately jumped on The Dragon Roller Coaster.......
...............and then moved onto the wooden Coastersaurus!
Rachel went to Junior Driving School............
.......... did a great job and got her Driver's License!
Evan attended the Senior Driving School to acquire his Senior license. He was by far the most disciplined driver out there. Stopped at stop signs and stop lights and stayed in his lane. No T-Bones or head-ons like others!!
This Ford has over 300,000 legos and weighs 2600 pounds!
We moved on to Boat school and then Flight School, the first time I've been on a suspended roller coaster!
We went on a number of other rides and then came to Project X, a modern day Wild Mouse.
Went on it once. Won't be back on it again! Too scary hangin' out there!
Pogger and Rachel went on a second time.
Beautiful scenery throughout the park.
MiniLand was outstanding!
The highlight of the day had to be Pirate's Cove. Taking Bud's recommendation, we got there early and rushed in once they opened the doors. There were 3 water cannons that the kid's could operate and we scored one for Evan. Here's part of the action........
Evan got soaked!!
Evan said he would remember this guy for the rest of his life.
We had an over the top day!
Evan summed it up best......
We topped off the day with dinner at CiCi's in Winterhaven.
A wonderful memorable day!
