Charleston

We drove the hour to Charleston with Don and Darlene to take a tour of the historic city.
Many houses are done in the style below with a doorway facing the street that leads to an open porch.

We stopped at the Harbour where you could see Fort Sumpter in the distance.   We didn't have time to visit today, but that is on my bucket list.

This is a replica of the first submarine, used in the civil war and operated by 8 men who all perished in the successful assault.

There is a military college in Charleston and these uniforms were a common sight.

We stopped downtown for lunch at an interesting place called "Out of Business"

We walked the downtown area which was very cool.  Lots of high end shops in these historic buildings including an Apple Store :)

This was an investigative trip into Charleston and we'll be back to visit it again God willing.
