January 2-31, 2015
We left Terry's house on New Years at 7:30 pm and headed for Florida. The first night we got as far as Washington, PA. Got up in the morning and as we were nearing Summersville, VA saw the sign for Craigsville. I've been wanting to check it out for years, so off we went.
Cross that one off the list. We got all the way to Georgia before calling it quits. Traffic heading north was bumper to bumper on I95 and we were lucky to get a room (although nothing to brag about).
The next day was an easy drive and we settled into The Houses of Summer Bay where we'll be staying for the next month enjoying our own pool.
Here's a link to a video of our awesome unit.
Lynn made full use of the pool, usually in 3 times a day.
Lots of exercising and jumping jacks!!
We met up with Bud and Mardi and Bud's daughters Barb and Joanne. It was great to see the girls after such a long time.
We had a great day in Mount Dora with Bud, Mardi and Joey.
There was a dock on the small lake behind our unit. Lynn caught this nice 2.7 Lb largemouth to set the bar.
There was a small electric powered pontoon boat that we rented a few times.
This one was slightly bigger than Lynn's :)
I was catching a few more than Bud and starting to rub it in.
When he hooks into this beast!!!
Calculated at 7.85 Lbs!
Here's a video of the catch:
And release:
We enjoyed a night in Downtown Disney with Bud and his friends.
Raglan Road is one of my favorite places.
We enjoyed having Cal and Marcelle come and stay for a few days. Cal and I destroyed the girls at Sequence, but they still managed a smile.
Went for a nice walk in Celebration checking out Millionaire's Row.
Of course we all took advantage of the pool.
And no visit is complete without a visit to the Ale House!!
Shift change and we welcomed Lynn's good friends Sharon and Neil. We toured Orange Lake and the Lazy River.
And checked out the Kidani Lodge in Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The four of us went to the Canadian Snowbird Show in Lakeland and were joined by Bob and Linda Caldwell. We enjoyed free shows from Michelle Wright and Daniel O'Donnel.
And another tour of Downtown Disney (that is going through a major transition).
Lynn's sister Darlene and husband Don joined us for a "Free Disney Day". Here we are at Wilderness Lodge.
We arrived in Camp Wilderness just in time for the Hoop Dee Doo Review Dinner Show. Sharon was "lucky" enough to be brought up on stage and dressed up as a Can Can Dancer!!
Too funny! She did a great job!
.......and that was a Reader's Digest summary of January!
