Here's the view of LA as we approached the airport. You can see the smog.
We had a 2 hour layover at LAX which gave us plenty of time to move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 7. The flight to Honolulu was another 5 hours which seemed longer than the first leg.
We arrived in Honolulu around 4:30 pm (10:30 pm Brantford time). We're on the 27th floor of the Hilton Waikiki and the view is fabulous. We're here until Saturday morning when we leave for the ship.
Once we got settled, we walked down to the beach where there was a hula demonstration.
This is a statue of Duke Kahanamoku, a surfing legend.
We had a great dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen.
Joanne ordered a Corona and they only had 24 oz bottles! Drink up Jo!!
Went back to our rooms around 10:00 pm. We had been up for 24 hours!!!
Time for some sleep.
