Couchiching Pre-Fishing

My sons and I have been fishing in the Bass Pro Associates Fishing Series. The top 10 teams on the season qualify for the "CLASSIC" on September 15 on Lake Couchiching. We managed to qualify 10th. Paul and I have never fished Couch' and are at a distinct disadvantage as all the other teams are quite familiar with it.
My buddy Jason from the store volunteered to take me out for a pre-fish and to show me around the lake (and hopefully some of his hotspots!).
Jay is typical of the many young guys in the BPS Fishing Dept. extremely knowledgable and dedicated and a great guy to be around.

The day was an extrememly tough one with 25 km/hr. winds and cold rain all day. The fishing was extrememly tough and Jay only managed one fish compared to the many he caught the day before. I got skunked, which actually means that I saved all my big fish for next Wednesday 8O) ........stay tuned.
Despite the tough conditions and fishing, it was a great day with a good buddy. Thanks Jay!
