Not the Disney Cruise you're thinking of.
We drove today to the CrossRoads Center, parked our van and walked down Hotel Plaza Blvd.......
.........back to Downtown Disney Market place.
We checked out a few of the stores.
We spotted this Animatronic Squirrel!
When we were there the other day we took the boat ride to the far end of Pleasure Island. Today we decided to see where the other boat that departs from the other side of the dock goes.
We enjoyed a 20 minute boat ride to two of Disney's resorts, Port Orleans and Riverside.
Along the way we passed Sarasota Springs, their largest timeshare (Vacation Club) at 1200 units.
We then wound our way up the river past the Disney Treehouses.
These were originally built in 1979 and then torn down and rebuilt 3 years ago. There are over 60 units along the waterway. They are all 3 bedroom units.
We got off at Riverside which was the last stop. These (and Port Orleans) are basically motel units, but with a very cool theme and plenty of amenities.
We left Riverside and walked along the pathway back to Port Orleans. They do a great job of hiding the parking lot, buses and service vehicles from view.
Port Orleans had a great New Orleans theme complete with miniature streets.
After a quick bite, we got on a boat and returned to the Market Place. The Margarita Bar had this guy playing. Yes, as he says, Life sure is Beautiful!!
I'll be damned if Ghirardelli wasn't giving out samples again!
We walked back to the Crossings to wrap up a very enjoyable, dare I say it, "free" day!!
Thanks Mickey!
Never truer words spoken!

I'll be curious to see which is winning the weight battle. All the walking you seem to be doing or the Ice Cream Sundays and Ghirardelli's Chocolates.
