The 14th Annual FishGuts Fall Classic is now in the books.   We were blessed with amazing weather all week.  Warm temps and calm waters.   I'm sure we'll be talking about it for years to come.
What we won't be talking about is the fishing!
Fishing was tough, but then when you only go out each day from10:00-12:00pm and 5:00-7:30 pm you're probably not going to catch much :)

It was great to get out on the water with long time buddy Paul Kennedy.  He's missed a lot of our trips lately.

I introduced Barry, Andre and Paul to Sequence.  Barry and I destroyed them!!!

I love this picture that Rob Bob Doiron took of Paul and I as we all headed to a spot down the Pigeon River.

I lost a couple of nice bass and this was the best I could manage to get in the boat.

I took them to the spot and convinced them not to leave when the bite wasn't happening yet.

And it paid off for Rob Bob with this nice 4 Lber!

We managed to get in a little FishGuts' jam session in.  One of the best parts of the trip.

Saturday featured a triple birthday.   Randy did the double 5 and Chris turned 16!

Meanwhile, back home Mykayla was celebrating her birthday.

Things on the water got so desperate that Bud and I put on a dress and started trolling.

It was great seeing Randy assume the role of boat owner for a day (complete with boat owner issues)!

No Musky cooperated this year, so Rob Bob took the Trophy home with his bass.

What a great week! Lots of great memories.
The FishGuts' slogan is  "Fishin', Friends and a little music along the way".  As the years pass, the emphasis shifts more and more from the "fishing" part to the "friends" part.
It's those bonds that make this the great trip that it is.
