Williamsburg

First stop on the Hurricane Tour is Colonial Williamsburg.  The whole downtown has been restored to its appearance in the early 1700's when Virginia was a British Colony before the American Revolution.
This is the Governor's Palace.  Thomas Jefferson among others occupied this house.

There is a primitive farm nearby.  We really have no idea how good we've got it!

A scene in the middle of town.

There was a re-enactment of many of the  dramatic events that transpired at this very location.

I eagerly anticipated the fall colours in Williamsburg, but unfortunately most are not ready yet.  This was an exception.

I was somewhat disappointed in Colonial Williamsburg this time around.  Not nearly the same interaction with the period folks as there was before.
We stopped at Wally World on the way back to our unit.  Lynn picked up this pretty pink combo and for some reason found it quite humorous!!!
