Savannah

We got up early to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic from our room.  I don't think I've ever had this view.

We packed up, but got delayed by the street being closed for a race that had been scheduled for that morning.

On our way to Savannah we passed fields of cotton.   Lynn had never seen it as a crop before.

We crossed Lake Marion in South Carolina on I-95 and stopped in to check out the timeshare we'll be staying at on our way home.

We arrived at Stop #3 on our tour, The Studio Homes at Ellis Square in downtown Savannah.  We scored a nice one bedroom unit on the 2nd floor.

Here's a link to a tour of our unit:

We walked down to the Riverfront to check out the old converted warehouses and buildings from the 1700's. The cobblestone roads were built from the ballast of the tall ships arriving from overseas.

It was a beautiful day so we had dinner on the roof of Churchill's Pub.

Every day at 5:00 pm. they have live music in the Market Square just down the sreet from us.

A great start to our visit here.
