The Day After........

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

We have been going steady since we arrived in Hawaii two weeks ago with the highlight being yesterday.   Today was the first down day that we have had to really chill.
This is the view from our unit.  There are 6 buildings that make up the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  The Rainbow Building is a famous landmark in Honolulu.  You can see it in the opening shots for Hawaii 5-0.  You will see the large saltwater pond from different perspective later on.

We had breakfast on our balcony today.  It was comprised of......... Wedding Cake!

The Village is extremely large and features lots of stores, a wedding pavilion, beautiful gardens and 3 pools plus the saltwater pond, plus the ocean.

We came across these dudes on our walk around.   I think Moe is tiring of the photos :)

Here's my beautiful bride!

This is Lynn's ring.  They're all Canadian diamonds.

Here's the ring that Lynn chose for me.   Isn't she a sweetheart!!!

This bench offered the beautiful view.

We are staying in the Kalia Suites which is the building in the middle that is set back.  We are on the 15th floor on the left side, while Moe and Joanne are right above us.

We walked along the boardwalk (and the beach) on our way to dinner.

We ate at the Hula Grille (above Dukes) in the Outrigger Hotel.

Unbelievably, I haven't caught a sunset while here yet!   This was as close as I got.

Alika Souza, the mandolin player from our wedding was performing there.

His family was sitting at the table in front of us.  His sister got up and did the hula for one of his songs.  She did a beautiful job.

We finished the night off sharing a Hula Pie!

A great chilled out day!
