Day 1

Well, not much change in my life today. Off to Bass Pro like most Saturdays.
I wonder when I'll feel like I've actually retired??

All Done!

Well, that's all she wrote. The fat lady stopped singing. I had a wonderful day at the Big "D" today. So many great people to say goodbye to, although we will continue to keep in touch.
Finished it off with a walk out of the building for the last official time with my good buddy Barry. I had a great lunch with Barry and fellow retirees, brother Bud and buddy Willy.
I have been so blessed to have worked with so many great people who have all been positive influences in my life.
Arrived home to be greeted by my wife Chris who I think is even more stoked than I am!! Today is the first day of our new life together and we celebrated it in style at The Keg tonight. Gotta go and get ready for Bass Pro in the morning. So much for retirement 8O)

One Day to Go!!

Well the time has finally come. Tomorrow I will officially retire from Dofasco after more than 38 years. Its seems a little surreal, but I can't get over the excitement. I have absolutely no second thoughts and can't wait for Chris and I to start our "new life" together.
The purpose of this blog is to keep friends and aquaintances up to date on our journey through this new adventure.
I hope you'll stop by, put your feet up and visit often.
