DAY 4 - Badlands and Other Stuff

Monday, May 7, 2017

First stop today was the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD.  This is especially for my farmer friends.  Neil and Ted, here's a new use for your corn!  All of these murals are made out of various coloured corn.  You can click on the pictures to make them bigger.  The murals are changed every year with a new theme.

We left Mitchell and stopped just outside Chamberlain.  This native statue was very majestic.  Can anyone spot Lynn in the picture?  It is located in a spectacular spot and the pattern in her quilt lights up at night.

The fridge is still not working and we stopped at another RV Service Centre to have it checked out f
urther.  He gave us some advice and we'll see if anything comes of it.
Next stop was Badlands National Park.  The photos don't do it justice.  Lynn thoroughly enjoyed it.  It is a very special place.  Check out the photos.  It is hard to describe this surreal geography.

Here is some of the wildlife we saw.   No pics of the Prairie Dogs, but I'm sure we'll see more back in Canada.

An awesome day!
